چکیده
Relating the synthesis conditions of materials to their functional performance has long been an experience-based trial-and-error process. However, this methodology is not always efficient in identifying appropriate protocol and can lead overlooked opportunities for optimization through simple modifications In work, authors systematically track structural evolution a representative disordered rock salt (a promising next-generation Li-ion cathode material) at scale both long-range crystal structure short-range atomic using various situ ex techniques, including transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, pair distribution function analysis. An strategy proposed protocol, leading remarkably enhanced capacity (specific energy) 313 mAh g−1 (987 Wh kg−1) low rate (20 mA g−1), with more than 140 retained even very high cycling 2000 g−1. This further rationalized ab initio calculations, important synthetic demonstrated study are highlighted.

Synthetic Rock Analogue for Permeability Studies of Rock Salt with Mudstone
Knowledge about the permeability of surrounding rock (salt rock and mudstone interlayer) is an important topic, which acts as a key parameter to characterize the tightness of gas storage. The goal of experiments that test the permeability of gas storage facilities in rock salt is to develop a synthetic analogue to use as a permeability model. To address the permeability of a mudstone/salt layer...
متن کاملThermodynamically driven incompressible fluid mixtures
We compare two models describing the dynamics of phase separation of incompressible mixtures: A local model proposed by de Gennes, and a nonlocal model proposed by E and Palffy-Muhoray. We find that in the interfacial regime, the local model gives rise to interfacial motion via the Mullins-Sekerka law for moderate quenches, and surface diffusion for deep quenches. The interface dynamics is slow...

متن کاملPresenting an experimental creep model for rock salt
During the recent decades, the design and construction of underground spaces into rock salt have been particularly regarded for storing petroleum fluids, natural gas, and compressed air energy, and also for disposing nuclear and chemical wastes. The rock salt hosting such spaces will be subjected to various types of monotonic/cyclic, short-term/long-term stresses during the construction and/or ...
